Technician with the Fast Orange Yamaha team. In this year,
the team won the MCRCB British Championship with Jamie Whitham.
Jamie also entered selected World Superbike rounds in this
year, finishing 5th in Sweden, and 6th in Assen |

Chief
Technician with the JPS Norton racing team. The team ran
unique 588cc rotary engines, and fully designed and developed
the Norton racing bikes in house, experimenting with such
things as turbo charging units, belt drive clutches, early
carbon fibre sub-frames, and two stage rear shock absorber
mechanisms. The team were 2nd in the British Superbike Championship
three times with Trevor Nation, Ron Haslam and Terry Rymer,
were 2nd in the World Formula 1 Championship with Robert
Dunlop, and were 1st and 3rd in the 1992 Isle of Man Senior
TT with Steve Hislop and Robert Dunlop respectively. In
the same year, the bike was also ridden by Ron Haslam in
the British round of the 500cc Grand Prix and finished 12th,
making Norton racing bike the only rotary engine based machine
ever to score a world championship point |
