Chassis design
and manufacture for the ELF Honda Grand Prix racing team.
The team developed a complex single sided front swinging arm
steering system, and also were the pioneers of the single
sided rear swinging arm. In 1986 the team were 9th in the
500cc Grand Prix World Championship with Ron Haslam. In the
following year, Chris was also involved in the development
of the new Honda NSR500 V4 engine, and the team finished 4th
overall, again with Ron as the rider |

1983 1st Technician
for Honda Racing Corporation, working alongside Wayne Gardner,
Joey Dunlop and Roger Marshall. In 1983 the team won the Domestic
National Championship, were 1st and 3rd in the Domestic Formula
1 championship, and 1st and 2nd in the World Formula 1 Championship.
In 1984 the team won both the Domestic National and Formula
1 Championships and were 1st and 2nd in the World Formula
1 Championship. In 1985 Chris was promoted to Chief Technician,
and the team once again won all three championships |
